This hamlet is a very special place. It is located in a wonderful and quiet valley, just 15 kilometres from Vivero on the coast of Lugo. The magnificent estate has an extension of 5 ha, with meadows and trees around the house and, in the back, crossing the mountain road, a beautiful forest. Horses graze in the meadows, between holly and oak. The land is crossed by a small stream that comes from the spring that is born there. It has even an old laundry next to the spring.
The hamlet is a set of buildings that, in total, offers more than 1,500 m2 built. It consists of the following houses all made of stone:
Building 1
Stone and wooden house renovated and fully habitable. 162 m2 approximately, on three floors. On the ground floor, there is the living room, dining room and kitchen. Going out, it connects with a garden in which to lie down to rest in a hammock, where there is a granary (horrreo) and spectacular views of the property’s land, surrounded by mountains. Going up to the first floor, which is accessed by a spiral staircase, there is a bedroom and a bathroom. On the second floor, there is a large bedroom under the roof. It has heating and wood stove.
Building 2
An old rural school in the restoration process as housing. Approximately 500 m2, on three floors. This building of stone and wood contains various materials to be applied to the work.
This building is being renovated, it already has a septic tank and electricity. On the ground floor: a gym and games room. On the first floor, there will be a huge living room connected to the kitchen and dining room. Also, it is planned to build a porch. This space will connect with a small office. On the upper floor, there are divisions for four bedrooms with four bathrooms. Everything to be built.
Building 3
Haybarn currently used as a garage and woodshed. 50 m2 approximately.
Building 4
Probably the original house. It consists of two and a half floors with a total of 580 m2 approximately. The house has three totally independent accesses: a very large stable (in use and prepared for horses). Plus two independent houses with two floors each, currently used as storage. One of the houses has a complete lareira, including benches, typical folding tables, cupboards, etc. Everything is very good condition. But it needs minor reforms.
Building 5
Housing in several heights in which the restoration has begun. It has a stone oven for bread, … And the main water and sanitation pipes are installed. The surface is 160 m2 approximately on two floors. Given its state of reconstruction, it admits all kinds of uses.
Building 6
Two-storey house with approximately 108 m2. Stone and wood. Access to the upper floor is a living room-kitchen, with fireplace. On the ground floor, there is a large bedroom and a good bathroom. From this room, you go outside to a small porch that connects with the garden and, again, a space to rest and enjoy in tranquillity. It is made of stone with wooden beams. The interior design is cosy and matching with the surroundings and the stone facade. It is currently used as a B&B.
