This is large stone house of noble bearing, which in the past housed a large family well known in the area. The imposing stone chimneys, the granite ornaments on the roof peak, its beautiful gallery, and even a sundial that can be seen on one of the facades, tell us about the splendor of this great house.
The quality of its construction materials, the best granite and good slate on the roof, have kept this house in good structural condition until today. The interior, however, requires restauration.
The building has an approximate area of 700 m2 on two floors. On the ground floor, there was a large stable for the cattle, that new owners could transform in different spaces as needed. Being a large family, on the first floor, the house has numerous bedrooms, living rooms and lounges, some with artistic fireplaces. As we have said, the house needs interior reform, therefore, almost all the spaces could be redistributed adapting them to the needs of their new owners.
The land has an area of 10,000 m2. In it we find quite a few of the trees that made up the original garden surrounding the house. There are also various types of fruit trees and a number of large trees like linden and chestnut trees. It also has its own spring. And two big stone barns, of 180 m2 and 105 m2 respectively. There is another plot of land available, with another 6.000 m2, which is not included in the price.
This property in Sarria, in the center-south of Lugo, is situated in a very tranquil and quite private area. Its communication with the rest of the province and with all Galicia is very good, through the CG-2.2 road. This is a high performance road and variant of towns that links Lugo with Monforte de Lemos, in the south of the province. It is an alternative to the regional road LU-546 avoiding the passage through the centre of the towns.
